The Adventures of El Huevito: Parque National Conguillío, Chile.

Our day trip into the Conguillío National Park was a definite highlight of El Huevito’s trip to Chile. The park lies at the northern tip of the Lake District, and envelopes the 3125m Llaima Volcano. It’s a wild, beautiful and otherwordly place, a lunar landscape where islands of fertile earth lie stranded between lava flows frozen in time – or at least until the next eruption. Sunshine at this time of year can be fleeting, but the autumnal colours are a beautiful recompense.

If you would like to keep up with where I am between blog entries, I try and keep my While Out Riding Facebook page regularly updated – along with posting extra photos and gear ponderings. You can find it here, where plenty more El Huevito photos are to be found.

Fantastic photos as always. Amazing light. Great to see you all as a family here. Your bambino looks just like his paternal grandmother… (I think so Joanny!) Above all, it’s heartwarming to see you all having such a wonderful LIFE out there. Love all the photos… and think the child’s charriot is great! More soon please? Sending love to you all X

Thanks Michal, it’s been a really cool experience and one I recommend highly! The Chariot trailer travels on a plane for free, as long as you say it’s a stroller (which it is as well). Folds down and fits in a bus fine too.

Hoping to reach Bolivia eventually, though it won’t be with Nancy and Sage as they’ve returned to the States.

Lovely to see an update of your beautiful lil sage-boy in chariot… really encouraging for the future! And even more chuffed that we seem to have what is really top-notch gear… thanks for the stroller tip … make things seem all the more possible. Look forward to more Sage-boy chariot travel tips!

Cass, I have been following “El Huevito’s” journey on Facebook and it was nothing short of marvellous! Don’t get me wrong, but I think these moments added a another wonderful layer to the experience and surely will be “fuel” for your way to come…
    Best wishes and take care!
